2016 has been a very successful year for QMO. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our sponsors, supporters, our 'QMO family' and of course, our fans! With 3 sold-out concerts in April, July and December, we have raised over $25,000 for our charities : Muscular Dystrophy Queensland, Prince Charles Hospital Foundation, Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics and 139 Club. We have also launched our inaugural chamber music event, Spring Soiree, which showcased some amazing talents within our orchestra.
For 2017, QMO will be presenting some even more exciting productions with a bigger venue so that we can raise more money for local charities. Please go to our 'Upcoming Events' for more details. For further enquiries about our 2017 Season, please do not hesitate to contact events@qmo.org.au
Happy New Year to all!

Our most popular concert will again be full of our favourite carols and the most festive Christmas tunes, with a little bit of Fantasy and Magic. Christmas Fantasia will once again feature the Queensland Medical Choir with our orchestra, in bringing you an afternoon of Christmas cheer and plenty of great music.
This year, we will be raising funds for 139 Club, a local organisation in Fortitude Valley, a refuge and drop-in centre for the homeless and unfortunate. (Click Here to find out more about the amazing work they do). It is an important time for all of us to share our Christmas Spirit and spread the Joy with our music.
Tickets are $30 for general admission, $25 for concession and $250 for a group of 10. Bring your relatives and invite your friends for a great afternoon. A festive afternoon tea will be served during intermission.
This has always been our fastest sell-out concert, so to avoid disappointment, book your tickets NOW.

What an exciting day! This afternoon we will be holding our inaugural Chamber Music event, Spring Soiree. This promises to be an amazing concert packed with talents within the QMO. Repertoire include Beethoven's piano trio, Holst's wind quintet, and works by Ravel, Arnold, to just name a few. The star line-up includes JY Kim, Debbie Lee, and Professor Emma Duncan, the very medico-musicians who took our breath away with their Virtuosis performance this year. This is an event QMO has wanted to create for a long time, and it is great to be able to launch our first chamber concert this afternoon.
All proceeds from this concert will go to FAST (Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics). This concert is exclusively sponsored by Mater Pathology, who provides genetic testing for Angelman Syndrome. Without them, we would not have been able to contribute to our charities. Come and support our musicians and FAST.
Tickets will be on sale at the door, at $20 for general admission ($15 concession), it is fantastic value for the calibre of performance you will enjoy. The concert starts at 3pm, so come early to get a good seat. A selection of handmade treats will be provided during intermission for afternoon tea. It will be held in the intimate setting of the Brisbane Grammar School Main Hall (click here for the map). See you there!
